With a panoramic voiceover career now spanning 20-plus years, radio has been the one constant in Roberta’s life. After a long stint doing mornings in Kansas City, she left the air to hang out her shingle as an imaging voice. With smarts, energy and a loud laugh, she’s branded hundreds of legendary AC, AAA, Newstalk and Sports stations over the years, and is currently heard on about 40 stations in the U.S. Roberta co-voices the Kansas City Chiefs Radio Network, and gets a buzz every time someone says “Hey! I heard you in the bathroom at Arrowhead last Sunday!” On TV, Roberta is the news voice of stations in multiple markets, has been heard on promos for ABC, NBC, ESPN and HBO, and documentaries for NatGeo, Discovery and Smithsonian Channel. She’s one of only a handful of women to voice movie trailers. Working primarily from her home studio in Portland, Oregon, Roberta’s clients call her turnaround time “heroically fast.” She carries a portable studio with her when she travels, and has worked from hotels, closets, and once from a car in a cemetery. She’s got a mic in her purse. Right now.
