Behind The Song: Classic Hits

LOS ANGELES, CA, August 29, 2017— Benztown, a global leader in radio imaging, voiceover, programming and jingles, announces that it has launched the Classic Hits format’s “Behind the Song” series, 30-second audio documentaries that give Classic Hits radio listeners a comprehensive look at the stories behind the biggest Classic Hits songs of all time. The new audio series for Classic Hits radio stations is an addition to Benztown’s “Behind the Song” audio documentaries for the Classic Rock and Classic Country formats, which debuted last year. Stations can find the Classic Rock “Behind the Song” series in Westwood One’s Avalanche library; Classic Country “Behind the Song” series in Westwood One’s Horsepower library; and the new Classic Hits “Behind the Song” series in Benztown’s Classic Hits library. Each category will be updated weekly moving forward, for a complete library of stories behind the top 100 songs in each genre.

The “Behind the Song” stories are intertwined with the music and roll right into the song itself, giving listeners a continued look into their favorite music and giving stations turnkey content directly related to the core artists of the station.
