John Salwin has been doing commercial voiceover for the past five years. He has worked on several national campaigns, including Ace Hardware, TD Ameritrade, and Verizon. In addition, he has also worked voice matching Leonardo DiCaprio in The Great Gatsby, and narrated the audiobook, “Boy Nobody.” John learned voiceover through working in radio. He was first hired by 97.1 KLSX in Los Angeles when it was the FM Talk station in the commercial production department. After a few years, he moved onto Jack FM in Los Angeles, where he is currently a commercial voice, as well a writer for the Jack FM imaging voice, both at the local station level and for the national network. He is also a commercial voice for Amp Radio and KROQ, both in Los Angeles. John’s voice has a young and energetic sound, with a little bit of wryness and snark as well. He is often cast as “The Next Door Neighbor” or a young, modern announcer.
