LOS ANGELES, CA, JULY 5, 2018 —Benztown, a global leader in radio imaging, voiceover services, production libraries, programming and jingles, announces that it will bring the colorful, iconic voice of one-and-only radio and television sportscaster, Vic “The Brick” Jacobs, to radio stations across the U.S. in a 30-second daily feature, “This Day in Sports History.” “This Day in Sports History” will be available to stations through Benztown’s Adrenaline Sports Imaging Library.
Vic the Brick and Sports Broadcasting
A native of Queens, NY, and a graduate of Cornell University, Vic “The Brick” has been a sports broadcaster since 1979 in markets including Austin, TX; Fresno, CA; Phoenix, AZ, and Los Angeles, CA. Vic “The Brick” was sports anchor for KCOP-TV in Los Angeles and sports anchor for “Rick Dees In the Morning Show” on KIIS-FM in Los Angeles in the early 1990s. In 1997, he helped launch the new sports-talk format at L.A.’s KXTA 1150 AM, now KEIB, as Middays host. He went on to team with NBA superstar and future Hall of Famer Karl Malone and NFL Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw in hosting duties. Vic “The Brick” is credited with popularizing the catch phrase, “Feeling You!”, a cry of allegiance with the fans of L.A. sports fans. He is also known for another favorite phrase, an enthusiastic "C'mon" and "C'mon, now!", as an encouragement to callers and fans.

He is the same person on-air as he his in real life and that’s why I think he’s a star.
