The accelerated growth comes as “Sunday Night Slow Jams” (www.slowjams.com) and the nightly version, “Slow Jams with R Dub!” celebrate 20 extraordinary years on-air this year.
R Dub!, “Sunday Night Slow Jams” Host and President of Fusion Radio Networks, said: “Every new market is such an important addition to me and the show. I’d like to thank all the program directors for believing in Slow Jams. I know how tough it is these days to ‘get through’ to listeners, and I’m glad we’re able to provide a product that consistently grows ratings and raises the passion level for radio. Being “connected” to listeners is a wonderful thing!”
Mark Wilson, Vice President of Affiliate Sales for Fusion Radio Networks said: “Our weekend and weekday versions are performing strongly in over 70 markets with continued growth because Sunday Night Slow Jams delivers ratings plus revenue to our affiliate partners. Very few other syndicated products have this kind of interactive following or impact with listeners.”
Both the Mainstream/Top and Rhythm versions of “Sunday Night Slow Jams” feature the hottest love songs from today and back in the day, and specialize in playing tracks that take listeners back, with special dedications that drive home the emotional impact of the show. Usher, Drake, Rihanna, Boyz II Men, Mariah Carey, Justin Timberlake and more can all be heard on “Sunday Night Slow Jams”, and the weeknight version, “Slow Jams”. R Dub! created “Sunday Night Slow Jams” in 1994 at the age of 17, at a tiny AM radio station in the middle of the Tucson desert.
